Social Justice Grant Helped Give Saichelle McNeill a Life-Changing Second Chance
With support from Charlotte’s Center for Community Transitions, Saichelle McNeill turned a second chance into a thriving business. Through the nonprofit’s LifeWorks! program, McNeill gained valuable resources and guidance that helped her rebuild her life and grow The WashRoom Laundry Service. The organization, which received a $25,000 social justice grant from the Duke Energy Foundation, helps individuals overcome barriers to employment and financial stability after incarceration. McNeill’s journey is a powerful example of how community support and new opportunities can create lasting change.
